Serving as a stand alone vase, or for more impact, as part of a grouping, this piece is inspired by an heirloom vase, but with a contemporary point of reference. During construction, textures and colours create an interplay between surface and form as the piece slowly reveals itself.

This piece is made from black clay, unglazed (on the exterior), fired at cone 6. It is glazed on the interior to ensure it will hold water. It is slightly weighted on the bottom for stability but due to the tall, slim construction, it is suggested that it is handled with care and ensure that it is located in a place where it is not easily jostled.
